A follow-up sequence after sending a quotation

By Growth Partner Venture · Published · 2 min read

After sending a quotation, follow up with a short sequence: check it arrived and offer to explain, share a relevant project, answer concerns, and close the loop politely if they decide not to proceed.

A simple sequence

  • Same or next day: confirm they received it and offer a walkthrough
  • A few days later: share a similar project or a video about your process
  • Later: ask whether any questions or concerns remain
  • Finally: a polite close, leaving the door open

Listen for the real concern

Hesitation is often about trust, timeline or scope, not only price. Ask open questions.

Keep it personal

Mention details of their home. Generic messages are easy to ignore.

Record outcomes

Note why buyers proceed or not, to improve future quotations.

Questions about this topic

How many follow-ups are too many?

Stop when they ask you to, and space messages out respectfully.

Should I offer a discount in follow-up?

Discuss scope and value first; see our guide on discount requests.
