Writing portfolio captions that turn views into enquiries

By Growth Partner Venture · Published · 2 min read

A good portfolio caption says what the space is, what the homeowner needed, how you solved it and what to do next. Keep it clear, specific and honest, and end with one simple call to action.

A four-line structure

  • The space: “Kitchen for a family of five in a condo”
  • The need: what the homeowner wanted to fix or achieve
  • The solution: two or three choices you made and why
  • The next step: “Message us to book a site visit”

Write for the right buyer

Use the words your best clients use. If you want whole-home projects, describe the whole-home thinking, not just one cabinet.

Avoid empty claims

Words like “best” and “cheapest” do not help a buyer decide. Specific details about materials, layout and process do.

Make the next step easy

Point to one action: WhatsApp, a chatbot keyword or a booking link. Too many options reduce action.

Questions about this topic

Should I include prices?

Only if you can state them accurately. Otherwise explain what affects the price and invite a consultation.

How long should captions be?

Long enough to cover the four lines. Short, clear sentences are easier to read on a phone.
